One will say by 2023 we would have had its figured out as a nation on how to vote and who to vote for,but sadly we haven't.
Aforementioned seemed like a conclusion even before the election hold, because we have been defeated already.
Pre 2015 we had a clear goal and more united than ever to see we change the status quo and did we achieve that?!yes we did.
In one of the most fierced elections ever,we defeated a ruling party and instilled another with a front runner we thought will be a saviour.
I kept saying "We" because yes when the masses want it,they get it,no matter what.
Post 2015 things didn't go as juicy as we want
It didn't go as smooth as we wanted,we saw some changes but not overall, the progress was commendable until things started to crumble economically and security wise it took a different dimension.
Nigerians withdrew their support and confidence for the current administration and swore to never do it like we did again.
Everyone eagerly waiting for 2023 so we can unfold it better, I was waiting to because honestly I thought it will be a political boom.
What made it hopeful?
APC zoning will be a southern ticket as agreed intiallly and that was the first string of hope, that since many southers are "educated" we will have a decent candidate and that the "the Northerners" who didn't deliver will be thrown out.
Second string of hope was that youths had been on the bad side of government and that fueled anger will be positively used.
Last string of hope was that the opposing party PDP had been in power for 16 years and will bring a strong fight.
Hmmmn,oh Nigeria, oh Nigeria
It is 2022 and I can tell you nothing of the sort is happening, the youth are in the biggest delusion of politics, the south gave us someone we are trying to break from and the opposing party just don't have the juice anymore.
So if we have been defeated already for 2023 where are we headed to?
We have 4 top contendents who seem to be at Bar with even it been lowered in the past 8 years.
One has tons of allegations to his name
The other seem to have the youth singing his praises.
One is a serial contestant
And the other just don't have a national audience.
Conclusively we will "end up" with a president not chosen by the populous but by mere gap or power above others.
We will start complaining from the day that president is sworn in.
But wait
We are people of God's will and mercy
We hope for God's intervention in this country's affairs.Restore peace and guide our leaders.
For now we dwell in the current Cruise😂💥🤡
Enjoy the show while it lasts.
