Night Shift or Rather the Call.

For quite some time in my internship work,I struggled to come in terms with working at night because its so hard for me to stay awake late or even throughout the night and for some new reasons like dispensing in an uncomfortable environment like the hospital. At first I didn't have to do it because I was posted where there was no calls at night,later on I was shifted to a unit where it is required,for valid reasons I tried as much to avoid it(thanks to collageues who understood and assisted) but as time goes on,one becomes shy to even ask those favours and doing it became inevitable. Fast forward to my first night shift,I was anxious(I sleep 8pm for context) ,nervous and all the "ous" but yeah,I got ready,got all the tips of staying up late,slept so much in the afternoon,packed junk foods,books and my charger ready to keep awake the whole night..But I didn't even know how to do activities at night because I usually don't and I am no longer a student so...Yes shif...

PRESSURE

One will think social media will encourage and bring us together,it was supposed to be a medium to connect and make possibilities but reverse is the case. One I view someone's story or win,I immediately draw some inspiration and encouragement and think about how much work was put into that particular success. But that's not the case with alot of people especially the post social young people. The pressure is getting real , people classify themselves as failure or not performing as there peers. "I got into harvard" and everyone says yeeeey. Then there's go someone from their bed thinking,am I less of human, instead of thinking,oh that person must have been hardworking, consistent and dedicated. There's go another negative thinking,"why is that person always lucky and i am not" it is negative because its has transgress to envy and pessimism. It has made us not to appreciate our wins and stay on our lane. We are all made different, with our paths laid ...

ANTI-JAPA

People be moving out of this country like crazy. Yes can't blame them because everything is hard especially for young people.So the route now is moving out of the country. 1 min into talking about career progression or future with your peers and "Japa" comes in immediately.Now most young people don't even envision their future here. Again , can't blame them. But personally leaving Nigeria is out of my plans. There are few conditions I can consider to leave and they are 1. If you offer me a permanent residency with my entire family somewhere safe🤡 2. If I follow my spouse because that's where he lives,but i will cry river before move. 3 .i don't know the 3rd reason but it has to be Residency in Madinah, again with my family 😃. I love travelling and i will do that Insha Allah,i can take offers like short studies for max 2 years in which i have options of coming home all the time, currently I am not even considering going out to study full time.I can take ...
