Yes the whole topic discussed now is about Qatar and how they handled the west regarding not accomodating some movements in the world cup and how they have continuously propagated islam.
I found that Nigerians have been relatively quite concerning this issue, unlike before when saudi will bend a rule or go against the teachings of the religion and then some Nigerians will use that as a reference anytime something happens back here.
They will say "is it not saudi that you people follow,is your Islam different, why are you extremists" and the statements continues.
And we keep telling them yes Saudi is the most important location for muslims, and they are Muslims but we don't follow them we follow the teachings of the prophet (SAW),some still maintain that we don't know better than them and hence because we don't condone religious blasphemy and co they still tag us extremist.
The religion of Islam is peace and yes some miscreants who are Muslims have for long stray away from these teachings and doing what isn't in our religion, not everyone is like that or that doesn't make the tagging right.
Coming back to Qatar, everyone is quite,No one is tagging them extremities for upholding their values of islam,no one is calling them terrorist for calling prayers freely and they have respected their visitors and honour them.
For Muslims we know the Qataris are not even perfect, yes but they are atleast steadfast and consistent in the resolution and even Dawah.
The past few days has been a proud moment for the ummah seeing that atleast there are people who can still beat their chest to the pressure.
Using this avenue as heard from Bin Wali in one of his lectures on Aqeedah ,it is pointed out that the success of one's Dawah is not about the number of people he converts or people who accepted islam. The success is in his intentions, the way he does it and ultimately his steadfastness on it.
Only Allah guide those whom he will.
May he make it easy on us,make us amongst his proud servant that we may worship him till our last breath, and grant us Aljannatul Firdausi.
