People be moving out of this country like crazy.
Yes can't blame them because everything is hard especially for young people. So the route now is moving out of the country.
1 min into talking about career progression or future with your peers and "Japa" comes in immediately. Now most young people don't even envision their future here.
Again , can't blame them.
But personally leaving Nigeria is out of my plans.
There are few conditions I can consider to leave and they are
1. If you offer me a permanent residency with my entire family somewhere safe🤡
2. If I follow my spouse because that's where he lives, but i will cry river before move.
3 .i don't know the 3rd reason but it has to be Residency in Madinah, again with my family 😃.
I love travelling and i will do that Insha Allah,i can take offers like short studies for max 2 years in which i have options of coming home all the time, currently I am not even considering going out to study full time.I can take short fellowships too then tourism.
Apart from these I love this country and believe in its greatness.
Times have change unlike before, everywhere in the world is not even safe, people have lost their values and I am better off with my people.
I wish for my burial to have many people who will send prayers of Mercy to my lord on my soul. And not exclaim oh she passed
I wish to have people concerned about my wellbeing,my life and my decisions.
I wish for political change,
I wish to be better and steadfast in my Deen and evidently environment influences that alot.
I wish to wake up and get reminders from the street Echos of the Adhaan.
There's nothing is this Dunya that is worth pursuing if it isn't your relationship with Allah.
The People in this country make hard life soft, the sense of humour, the gatherings, way of life....Food, ceremony, I want to shout "E be things" and someone gets.....Omoo I no fit leave.
I want to stick to this as long as I can.
Japa is the trend,it moves the youth now,
All energy is on leaving this country,
But for some of us,or only me the fuel is on,
Firm Resolution to remain here,
For better or for best,
Country shall be great one day,
Ameen
Long live Nigeria.
